3 QC's 'most wanted' nabbed in 1-day manhunt

MANILA – Three individuals tagged as most wanted persons (MWPs) in Quezon City were arrested in separate operations on Monday.

In a statement on Tuesday, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) chief Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan said Joezer Gamboa, 24, listed as the city's number four MWP, was arrested in his residence in Barangay Pasong Tamo at about 1 p.m.

Gamboa has a warrant of arrest for rape issued by the QC Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 129.

At around 4:30 p.m. 42-year-old Angkayah Adun was arrested in Barangay Culiat.

Adun, listed as the city's number six MWP, is wanted for drug charges by the QC RTC Branch 79.

Meanwhile, 34-year-old Rey Rizalon, the city's number eight MWP, was arrested in Barangay Magsaysay at 5:20 p.m.

Rizalon has an arrest warrant for robbery issued by the QC RTC Branch 87.

Maranan said the respective courts of origin of the warrants will be notified regarding the arrests of the wanted persons. (PNA)
