NBA postpones 5 games over Covid health protocols

ANKARA – The NBA announced Sunday that it is postponing five games this week “because of players and staff members entering its Covid-19 health and safety protocols.”

The Brooklyn Nets' games against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday and the Washington Wizards on Tuesday have been delayed.

A match Sunday between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Atlanta Hawks was also postponed.

The New Orleans Pelicans vs. Philadelphia 76ers game on Sunday and the Orlando Magic's game against the Toronto Raptors on Monday were also postponed.

Chicago beats Los Angeles

Chicago Bulls defeated Los Angeles Lakers 115-110 in Sunday's NBA game at the United Center in Chicago.

DeMar DeRozan played with 38 points, six assists and four rebounds in his first game since returning from a two-week quarantine.

Nikola Vucevic contributed with 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Lonzo Ball added 19 points as the Bulls ended a two-game losing streak.

LeBron James tried to rally the Lakers with 31 points, 14 rebounds and six assists but to no avail.

Bulls are currently runners-up with 18 wins and 10 loses in the Eastern Conference standings, while the Lakers are placed 7th in the Western table with 16 wins and 15 losses.
