LEGAZPI CITY – The Department of Agrarian Reform in Bicol (DAR-5) said on Tuesday at least 7,210 certificates of land ownership awards (CLOAs) and electronic titles (e-titles) have been distributed to 6,969 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) since the start of the Marcos administration in 2022.

During Tuesday's Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas, DAR-Bicol Regional Director Reuben Theodore Sindac said the distribution included 11,449.8383 hectares of agricultural land in six provinces.

"Despite this success, it is not unknown to us that there are still many deserving Filipino farmers who aspire to obtain their own land titles. Please allow us to work hard to reach it, and as promised by our good President, we wholeheartedly offer our honest service to accomplish all of this, even before the end of his term," he said in Filipino.

He said the land titles included 3,320 CLOAs and 3,549 e-titles, which were generated under the DAR’s Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project.

Sindac said from 2022 to 2024, their agency has provided 731 farm machinery and equipment worth PHP66.4 million to 581 agrarian reform beneficiaries' organizations (ARBOs) with more than 32,210 member-beneficiaries.

He said there are nine completed and nine ongoing farm-to-market roads under the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development and Sustainability program, amounting to PHP893 million in the provinces of Albay, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes.

On marketing assistance, DAR Bicol has partnered with 17 institutions that have given an additional PHP6.6 million in sales to farmers.

“Sa Bagong Pilipinas, mas paiigtingin pa natin ang pwersa ng DAR sa rehiyon, upang mas lalong mailapit ang serbisyo ng gobyerno sa bawat magsasakang Bicolano (Under the New Philippines, we will further strengthen the DAR in the region, so that government services can be brought closer to every Bicolano farmer)," he said.
