CEBU CITY – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Central Visayas cited the regional office’s 8888 Complaint Center and Contact Center ng Bayan (CCB) for their 100 percent compliance and resolution rate of labor-related complaints.

DOLE-7 Director Lilia Estillore said Monday that all 21 complaints received as of May were resolved.

“We are happy because we just received updates from the DOLE Human Resource Development Service (HRDS) the copy of the consolidated report of all concerned tickets that were referred to DOLE-7 as of May 2024,” Estillore told the Philippine News Agency.

The perfect batting average means complaints coursed through the 8888 Complaint Center and the CCB were attended to within the prescribed 72-hour cycle time.

“It is the policy of the government to eradicate red tape, obviate graft and corruption, and improve the delivery of government services through establishing a reliable and effective public feedback platform. The provision of a readily available and unrestricted public feedback facility is in consonance with the government’s thrust of participatory governance in the areas of public service delivery, public accountability and public policy development,” according to the implementing rules and regulations of the 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Hotline.
