MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) has increased the job opportunities offered in its job fair from 2,600 to over 2,800 positions across various essential roles in the health sector.

The nationwide job fair, which started last June 18, is part of the DOH’s 126th anniversary celebration.

The DOH said it has received almost 900 applications across the country in two days.

The job fair aims to recruit more workforce across the 76 operating units of the DOH, including the DOH Central Office, Centers for Health Development, DOH Hospitals, and Treatment and Rehabilitation Centers, which are strategically positioned nationwide.

To streamline the recruitment process, on-the-spot interviews and immediate hiring were held.

Interested applicants are encouraged to attend the job fair in person but they can also apply online through vacant positions posted on the Civil Service Commission website, the DOH Ejobs for Health website, and other designated platforms.

Earlier, Secretary Teodoro Herbosa said the job fair is aligned with the DOH’s 7th Action Agenda item also known as the “Kapakanan at karapatan ng health workers”. (PNA)
