3 'most wanted' nabbed in separate manhunt operations  in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY – The Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO5) reported on Wednesday the arrest of three most wanted persons in the region. 

Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, PRO5 spokesperson, said the wanted individuals were arrested on Tuesday in operations conducted in the provinces of Masbate and Albay.

She said one of those arrested was identified as "Jorge", considered the No. 3 most wanted individual in the region. 

"He was arrested in Guinobatan, Albay. The suspect was arrested through a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 14, Ligao City, on Oct. 26, 2023, for four counts of frustrated murder with bail set at PHP600,000," she added. 

In an operation in Daraga, also in Albay, operatives arrested the town's 9th most wanted person identified as “July,” 20 years old. 

Calubaquib said the suspect is now in the custody of Daraga Municipal Police Station for the crime of robbery under Criminal Case No. 17583, with bail set at PHP120,000. 

In Masbate province, "Jon-Jon,"  39, of Mandaon town, was arrested through a warrant issued by RTC, 5th Judicial Region, Branch 46 in Masbate City on Dec. 12, 2023. He is the province's 9th most wanted for the crime of murder (Criminal Case No. 22714), with no bail recommended. 

PRO5 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon commended the operatives for their dedication in apprehending these fugitives.
